Still developing as a rider going into her 3rd year of racing in 2017. Mads is trying out different disciplines, including road, time trials and some track through the winter. She also did a few hill climbs at the end of 2017.
So far Mads strength has been sprinting – getting her first road race win at Bickerstaffe RR in April. Although, last season saw her try time trials for the first time. Getting a pb of 25:29 in just the handful she participated in. Mads has also improved massively through 2016 on the hills, so she’s looking forward to developing on this through 2017.
“I had a really great year actually, going to some big races I didn’t expect myself to be doing! I was quite happy and surprised with my performances. We went away to Belgium and Ireland, they were definitely big highlights of the year. Not just because of the races but being away with the team, we all bonded really well and it’s always a good laugh! I’m glad we’re all sticking together for 2017.
My targets for next year are quite general, nothing too specific as pressure is never nice. I’d like to improve on my performances in the national series, tour series, and to work on my time trials. I’m also really looking forward to racing abroad again!”
